Abstract
This thesis corresponds to the process of the study and design of a drinking water and fire network for the family health center of Nueva Imperial. As an initial part of this study, it is necessary to determine the concepts that govern the design of intra-domiciliary drinking water networks, as well as what is indicated in the national and international regulations for the design of fire protection systems. The current condition of the potable water and fire networks of the site is detailed, in addition to indicating each of the problems it presents. It is taken into consideration that with the different projects to be executed for the habilitation of all the spaces of the site, it is necessary to evaluate and design a new proposal that allows to solve the new requirements. The design methodology for the sizing of the potable water and fire networks is mentioned, indicating the calculation methods for friction losses in the pipe sections and accessories that make up the entire network. As well as the necessary parameters to be fulfilled for an optimal operation of the network. The results are provided by means of tables whose parameters are required for any potable water project designed according to the regulations for potable water installations and NCH-2485. For the fire network project, the options of evaluating 2 systems are considered, one by means of the coupling to the drinking water network indicated in the general ordinance of construction and urbanism, together with another under NFPA international standards that considers a design with pumping system, in order to determine which is the most suitable, considering the inclusion of new projects within the same enclosure. As a last step, the planimetry of the potable water and fire network is provided, as well as the different components that will be part of it, and some aspects that must be considered for the implementation of the new network.
